Hi my name is Carolyn Gallant and I would like to summit a memorial for my beloved cat Hershey who disappeared in July,
2006.
Hershey came into our family in February of 2004. She was in need of a home and we were looking for a cat because we had lost our cat, Dudes, several months earlier. When Hershey came to us, she was scared of everything and I mean everything!! She actually spent the first two weeks either in the basement or under the beds hiding. She was timid and the only way we could pet her was when we gave her treats, which she LOVED!! Hershey had been
abused in one of her previous homes which made her so timid. She also had a beautiful mane which had be poorly cut at her previous home, but eventually it grew back which added to her beauty. Over the years Hershey grew out of her shyness and would greet everyone who came through the front door. She would even beat our dog, Monty, to the door to greet the people. Hershey was a very smart girl and she even learned how to sit when she wanted her treats. She loved anything from a can and would run to the kitchen when she heard the can opener because she knew she would be getting some tuna.
Sadly, this past July (July 16 to be exact) Hershey disappeared. We searched and searched for her but we have had no luck. We believe that she was probably attacked by one of the many coyotes around our home. She is deeply missed by her family, including our dog Monty.
To Hershey: We just want you to know that we miss you every day and love you very much. We hope that you are safe and happy in heaven.
