The Shelter will be closed on Monday, May 21st and will re-open for business at 11am, Tuesday May 22nd.

June 1st Dinner Bowl Fundraiser

June 1st marks our 3rd annual fundraising event and we want you to be there at the Top of the Park Restaurant at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino to join in the fun. Because we’re going to have fun in spades!

This year, all the profits from the event will go towards improving our cat care facilities at the Shelter. So expect to see a lot of cool cats! Here’s what you can expect:

all you can eat buffet
silent auction
door prizes
and a grand elimination draw prize we’re calling the “Ultimate Backyard BBQ Experience”

Tickets are $75 each ($50 charitable donation receipt); OR $400 for a corporate table for 6 ($250 charitable donation receipt).

Foster Pet Parents Save Lives!

This summer, Tia and Teeka arrived at the Society as stray kittens, too young to be placed on the adoption floor. One of our Foster Pet Parents opened their heart and home to these two kittens while they grew big and strong. And we’re so happy that both these kittens have now found their fur-ever home.

Calling all weekday volunteers!

Now that Fall has arrived many of our summer weekday volunteers have returned to full-time studies so we could really use new weekday volunteers – particularly between 8:30 – 10:00 am when we need extra help walking the dogs in our care.

PEI Humane Society Off-Leash Dog Park

Our Dog Park is located behind the PEI Humane Society Shelter at 309 Sherwood Road, in Charlottetown. This one-acre fenced-in facility is available for registered users 24 hours per day and provides a safe area for dogs to socialize and exercise off-leash, under their owner’s supervision. And thanks to the Doucette Brothers, we now have a direct water supply.

A Dog Park Membership is valid for one year (January to December) and costs only $20.00 per household. The membership includes all dogs living in that household.
